ITER Fusion Reactor & European Fusor Meeting

I've been to France to visit the construction site of ITER (www.iter.org) To keep it short: It is massive! It is gigantic!! Here is one of the pictures I took (view to the reactor pit with the huge clean-room style assembly hall in the background) - but there is much more to tell. I could speak hour...

Re: Invitation to "European Fusor Meeting"

I think we could also postpone the meeting to a day where most of the possible attendees are available. Thinking about January 2018.

Re: Tri-Alpha Energy just launched its website

Does anyone have a personal contact to Mr. Michl Binderbauer (president and CTO of Tri-Alpha)? I tried to get in contact with him (as he is also Austrian) - but did not get any feedback.

Re: Archived - European Fusor

@ Dennis: Using oil was an idea – but I try to stay dry as long as possible. The transformer has about 40 kg – so moving it and building a hull around it seems not to be that easy. I once thought about using SF6 instead of oil – but it was not possible to get it anymore. Regarding the diodes: I alre...

Hi!

Has anyone tried to simulate the moving/colliding ions inside a fusor using COMSOL?

Re: High Voltage System Approval

It seems that someone else tried the same power supply in 2015: http://fusor.net/board/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=10040 The model looks a little bit to small for such a large power. So I think it might be constructed for pulse operation only?? Connecting a mass cable should be done in a professional way –...
