Re: Neutron Club Application - Erik Smith

Thank you for the info Erik. Would you happen to have one that you do not need, or could you point me towards the eBay seller please?

Re: Neutron Club Application - Erik Smith

Hi Erik, I'm building a similar chamber and was wondering where you got your HV feedthrough.
Nice job!

Re: First Plasma

That vacuum chamber was one that I was just using for plasma generation. I am going to purchase a 2.75 inch conflat cross for the actual chamber with the proper conflat fittings.

Re: First Plasma

Yes that gauge came with the vacuum pump a long time ago and I am looking for one that will work for fusion applications. The gauge would just tell me if I got to a low enough pressure for plasma to form.

Re: First Plasma

I am certain the gauge is broken and is leaking oil into the chamber. When I pull a vacuum for about 5 minutes, the gauge still reads zero while plasma is created. Also at these pressures the plastic that is used to view the numbers is being pulled into a concave shape and tiny bubbles can be seen r...

Re: Usable transformer

Would there be anything I could do to increase the stability of the output or the resulting plasma so it works better for plasma applications?

Re: Usable transformer

I have seen the post and figured this would be better than nothing, especially for the price, so I purchased the CX-400A model, which is the +/-40KV 400W transformer, it costs more but isn't 100W (like the $76).

Re: Usable transformer

I have one on the way and will experiment with it throughout its range and report back.

Re: Usable transformer

Thank you for directing me Ameen. I have already researched this topic and have found several posts about the 500 Watt threshold but I was wondering if this supply would make the cut (since it is only 400W). I was also concerned about how to wire this specific transformer. I'll try to insert the lin...
