Hi Richard,

The clip leads and string of caps is certainly not "finished form" here. In fact, a capacitance of only 30-50 pF is ideal. I have an air variable set aside for this purpose, but it can only hold off 4 kV in air. It will be mounted in a little acrylic box under oil. Alternatively, I may take a couple short lengths of RG-8 and just use the capacitance of the cable. It will look better when done, I can assure you of that!
