Hi,
I now finished the chamber, and made a short vacuum test with the forepump only. The results (5x10-2 mbar after 10 minutes) are promizing that with the diff. pump I will reach the working pressure arround 10-4 mbar. Anyway there are no major leaks.
The chamber is made from lucite, and epoxied to the lower magnet pol. The upper pol is removable with a neopren gasket. The waveguide to the cavity is made vacuum tight with a capton window, and the thick walled iron extractor tube ist close by a thin alu folie. The diagontic port allows the insertion of a small current probe for aligning the instrument.
Hopefully it will work like I show in the second image
