pump question

Every fusor and fusion system seems to need a vacuum. This area is for detailed discussion of vacuum systems, materials, gauging, etc. related to fusor or fusion research.

pump question

I have aquired a double rotary vane pump at 1/3 horse power. The label is missing and so i was wondering if they are any good and what kind of vacuum i can get from it.

Probably the best thing to do is to post a photo of it in the Images du Jour forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people here and I'm sure someone could ID it and perhaps fill in the blanks.
