Bubble Detector Group Purchase (July 2019)

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

Bubble Detector Group Purchase (July 2019)

Post by Mark Rowley »

I'm planning on purchasing a BTI Bubble Neutron Detector in early July and I may have one additional person interested which suffices the minimum order of two. If anyone else is interested this is the perfect opportunity to strike.

This morning I spoke to the sales rep at Pulcir Inc and the going price inc shipping (to one location) will be about $250 each. For each additional order the shipping cost is split further down thus reducing the price by around $15 (or thereabouts).

This is an old post as I purchased a pair from BTI last month.

Just an FYI, the US supplier, Pulcir, no longer carries the BTI product line. Dosimeter purchases are now direct through BTI in Canada.

Yes, in future all would-be fusioneer newbies and folks thinking that something offered for sale or a group purchase is planned, might try looking at the original post's date.
A true regular "crawler" in and among these posts would note that Mark's recent postings of his linear pinch device show he now has two BTI bubble dosimeters and, thus, has made that June group purchase rather obsolete.
