New neutron detector

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

If anyone's interested, I attached the article PDF. Large-area, non-coated photodiodes like the ones they used are readily available:
Lithium-6 is a bit harder to come by :
Working in a dry glovebox is challenging, but less so than working in hard vacuum... and if it's possible to acquire deuterium gas, it's no trouble to buy dry argon. I wouldn't give up on this option just yet!
