You will learn a lot relatedto neutron detection in general and about the details on how to make your own counter around these Special form of 3He tubes.

Thanks for posting, excellent paper..

The preamp developed by Bob Higgins is essentially the same solution that David Housley and myself developed and which I have listed on my site here.

These circuits won't give you a typical neutron spectrum because it's a trigger circuit, but they are virtually blind to gamma, so what you see are neutrons.

I have plenty of these circuit boards so just PM me if anyone wants to make their own.
