Constant Neutron Source

This area is for discussions involving any fusion related radiation metrology issues. Neutrons are the key signature of fusion, but other radiations are of interest to the amateur fusioneer as well.

Constant Neutron Source

Post by yashvashi »

Hi!
I want to use my fusor as a constant source for fast neutrons. I haven't built the fusor yet. I have to submit a detailed diagram as a proposal. Can anyone please list out components required to accomplish such a task. Thank you in advance!

What exactly do you mean? If your fusor is fusing deuterium, then it will be producing fast neutrons. Almost all of them will easily pass through the fusor walls, so you don't even need a special frame design in order to get detectable neutrons escaping. If you are just asking for help on building the fusion-capable fusor in the first place then the FAQs are the place to go.
