Stellarator Progress

The German stellarator has been very successful - so much so, they upgraded the device. An excellent article can be read here:

As some of you may recall, my daughter Jeannette worked the summer on that device in Germany (solving an issue with the divertor; a device that has grown in importance for successful fusion and the 7-X device is being upgraded to focus on that issue.) Jeannette graduates from MIT with her physics degree this spring and is considering returning to do a masters on the Wendelstein (German programs require a master before the PhD.) They invited her to return.

Richard, she has a few months to decide but I am still glad how you provided her the opportunity to see fusion for real at your meeting relative to fusors.
