Hi Ryan:
I've got loads of posts on linear and collider style fusion.
Richard 's (Hull) got em (other fusion) scattered in all kinds of forums
Phil's (Fostinni) got them all over.
Does Adam's (Szyvenski) hybrid ideas go here?
There's a lot of posts out there.
How do we move them without caos breaking out?
What if the authors of the post mark the title with a **OFF** (other forms of fusion) in the front of title. Simmilar to the way FAQ are done now.
That way Ryan could do a mass move by sorting and sellecting
and then deleting them from the fusor forums after a check of the transfer.
If everybody did that .... alot of unnecessary work could be avoided.
Just a thought.
Happy Fusoring!

As long as I know what threads to move, I can do it without a problem. I think it would be most coherent to move entire threads only, rather than re-parenting replies that happened to wander off-topic from the original subject.
As to the mechanics of doing this, I can go with whatever you think is easiest. Either marking the title or sending me a list, etc. would work fine.

I think Ryan might be a bit busy for that. I intend to move the best of my old posts related to this forum personally and leave them in the old forums.
I just highlight my old text do a copy and move it enmass to a well titled new spot here. I plan on moving a couple of other folks posts too as they might not find time or care to do the moving. Needless to say, i'll only move the most important posts as I have little time as well.
By the way, the first Faux pas was your title I corrected it.

Hi Ryan :
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Now if the author of the first original post Does the **Off**
The other links would follow? or not?
I was hoping the links would simply move en mass by simply moving the pointer to that first file.
That way the respondants who were on topic would follow the original thread.

Yep. Moving an entire thread from the parent on down is how the move function works be default, and administratively the easiest for me.

Hi Richard:
That's why I asked First.
I know Ryan's a busy guy.
The posters were going to do all the entry work.
Ryan only puts in the search phrase
Then the computer does the rest of the work.
I don't mind the formallity one bit.
But it will take a little getting used to...the forum was informal before.
I was unsure about the space requirements of the forum.
I know your aim is for clarity in the new forum.
I will work to fit in.
I will hold off posting anything here until I see what you do in the next week. Too late I'm posting!
