Passing of a nuclear legend.

My son has reported from the University of Michigan that he has been notified that professor emeritus Glenn Knoll has passed away. Many here will know of Dr. Knoll from his text on radiation detection. I myself still have my copy of his book from over 30 years ago. Mike was fortunate enough to see him lecture this term marking the last of the generations to be directly inspired by his legendary teaching.

I have most of the editions of his classic text in my radiation library collection. I am sorry to hear of his passing. His text will far outlive him as a standard of learning in academia. Such texts may become dated, but they will teach well, forever.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
