Was having some trouble figuring out details of the Fusor's gas line. Physics at University of Utah provide some good resources that I found particularly helpful.

Basic Concepts of plumbing is a good intro to basic terminology, with a few Google searches to accompany it - attached.

Vacuum Tech Fundamentals is also a wide-ranging reference document, it's actually the Leybold Vacuum reference manual - http://www.physics.utah.edu/Phys5719/Va ... entals.pdf

Much more to be found at - http://www.physics.utah.edu/Phys5719/

I concur with the PPT recommendation to use Swagelok. I doubly concur that one should use their stainless fittings. The brass ones are too soft and no matter how careful I was I ended up over tightening them when I had to disconnect and reconnect lines.
