Muffle / Burnout furnace for sale

Post by ian_krase » Sat Jun 03, 2017 6:40 pm

I bought this electric furnace (intended as a burnout furnace for dental lost-wax casting applications) and repaired it -- fixed all holes in the refractory and replaced damaged heating elements with Kanthal. It's a Jelenko Accu-Therm III 3000, with stainless steel front panel and a digital controller that allows programs with several stages of ramps and soaks. At about 1000 watts it works fine off of an ordinary 120V outlet. Chamber roughly 4.5 inch cube. I'll be adding additional photos and the manual to this post. Works quite well (though heating is slow at the upper end of the temperature range)

I'm asking for $550. Local pickup (in Fremont, CA) or dropoff (in Fremont or in San Jose) only.

It's a nice furnace and I would like to have it, unfortunately I can't drive from Connecticut to California to pick it up. And I agree it shouldn't be shipped. Good luck with the sale!

I can see about crating it for long distance shipment but you'll be paying for that, and probably there are better options where you are.
