Another Superb Nuclear Instrumentation Book

Arthur H. Snell (ed.) Nuclear Instruments and Their Uses Vol. 1, John Wiley and Sons, 1962
This book is a nudge better than Price's book on radiation detection, though not as comprehensive as Knoll's treatise. Where it excels is the immense amount of practical detail, with explicit evaluations of materials, scintillator formulas, circuitry (heavy on tube technology), and even handling of radioactive materials. Needless to say, I'm looking for volume two...

I just recieved my copy of the above book from the UK. It is indeed a superb instrumentation reference in the classic tradition....The best of what science had to offer in the good old days. Clear, concise and loaded with data.
