The Atomic Nucleus- R.D. Evans

This book was recommended to me 15 years ago, as a general nuclear physics reference. I still have my copy (snagged for $4 from a local used book store of all places, never underestimate them, they sometimes get serious texts, and don't know what they really have) and still refer to it from time to time. It was the standard text at MIT for two decades. Evans was a gifted teacher, and it shows in his writing style. If I could have only one nuclear physics text, this would be it.
Beware, there is a much smaller paperback book of the same name, by a different author.
