Handbook of Radioactivity Analysis - L'Annunziata

Post by ChrisSmolinski »

I thought I'd give folks here a heads up - a seller on eBay has a bunch of
copies of this text, and is putting them up for $2 each plus $4.95 shipping. Not
bad for a 750+ page hardbound book, 1998 copyright. There are usually a
few copies up at one time, and more seem to keep popping up, so probably
no need to bid this one up if you want a copy. Just do a search for the title, I
see two copies for sale now. The seller has some other books that may be of
interest to folks here as well.

Mine just arrived today, and while I haven't had a chance to start it yet, it does
look interesting. There are chapters on radiation and matter interactions, gas
detectors, semiconductor detectors, liquid scintillation analysis, statistical
computations, cherenkov counting, solid and flow scintillation analysis, and
imaging.

I'll try to post my thoughts of the book once I start reading it, but I wanted to
give everyone a head's up.
