FAQ: Complete fusor diagram

Post by Richard Hull »

Attached is a complete fusor diagram. It is in the Newbie section, but few Newbies seem to even bother to check it out, so I have placed it here. This represents a super demo fusor system or a bare bones, minimalist deuteron fusing fusor.

This shows the general wiring diagram and all other vacuum and gas line connections.

For detailed info on measuring current and voltage, check out the FAQ posts at the very beginning of this HV forum.

The current limiting resistor should be about 60 k ohms and have a wattage of at least 50 watts! This will act as a ballast to protect the supply and the fusor. It is not necessary in some demo fusors operated below 8kv or those employing neon sign transformer, but is highly recommended in a real fusor using a non-magnetically shunted power transformer.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
