I have been lurking the orignial almost since it's inception. I had to take some time out so I missed the fun with Intranets. It is nice to be home again.

I will be 50 later this year.

I have been reading scf-fi since 1962 thanks to a gift of The Hobbit from my uncle.

I bulit a HeNe gas laser in my basement during my high school days. It actually worked for about a week before my poor high voltage practice caused exciting sparks and a hole in my gas tube.

My days are spent as an application architect (small a as this is not a real profession) and my evenings are spent reading, lurking interesting technical fora, and surfing the web for the next interesting tidbit to catch my eye.
