My name is John McGovern. I am an RF Engineer with a life-long interest in high-energy physics. I stumbled upon this forum while researching what GM tube I should pick for a home-brew instrument specifically for amateur laboratory experiments. I found the information contained herein to be instructive, (nearly) comprehensive, and far better than anything I found in my Internet trolling of the last few days.

John,
Welcome to fusor.net. We do have a rather robust nuclear detection forum with good FAQs. I hope you will continue to find useful info here.
