I have been wanting to build a fusor for a while now. I used to build high vacuum air samplers for years and unfortunately when I closed my business I let go the vacuum pumps and electropolishing setup. I did keep the tig welder, lathe and mill that I used for making the samplers. I have no high voltage experience so this will have a learning curve for sure.
Anyone from North Idaho or Eastern Washington on here?

This forum is for introductions and not questions. The new user forum is the one you want to ask questions in. In short, no this would not be a usable supply. we could discuss the reasons in the proper forum.

Ok. I was just giving an intro about me and what I had planned on using. No real questions. But I guess to much still. Sorry about that also.

John said, "how about real full name as per rules of this site...

You thanked him but still have not changed your username to comply.
So, in great detail, here we go...
----------
When you registered you clicked to accepted the terms given on the 1st registration page:
Fusor Forums - Registration
This contains the same as what is listed here:
Board index - Announcements - Announcements and Site Administration Topics
Fusor.Net Policies and Procedures
and specifically The Rules: #1
but you failed to do that. Please change your username to comply.
Changing your Username
The forum rules require you to use your full name as your username. Many people miss that and create an account with some tag name.
This forum does allow you to change your username. I just tried it and it seems to work for me.
Here's how:
Adding a Location
