Hello from the UK

Post by Jake_BGoodfellow »

Hi all,

My name is Jake and i'm interested in making a demo fusor, mainly for proof of concept. I am undertaking a PhD in biological sciences and so have no professional interest, however I think it will be a fun project to undertake.

I look forward to discussing ideas with you!

Hello, Jake and welcome. Look forward to your participation in this forum. A lot of useful stuff is in the FAQ's and demo fusor's can be built to many levels of complexity depending on your ultimate goal (i.e. if you suspect you want to do real fusion at some future date, making a real chamber like a four-way cross with ports is a useful approach.) Regardless, getting an electrified gas plasma (the fourth state of matter) is, in of its self, a worthwhile endeavor.
