How is the high voltage electricity supposed to enter the chamber?

Post by solfinn kolle »

I can't figure out how the high voltage electricity is supposed to enter the chamber? I know that there needs to be a special port for it, but how is it injected?

You really need to read the FAQs. Most of your basic questions are answered in them rather than us having to type them out again for you. This isn't like the viewport question (where there is a bit of a contradiction).

I can't find this in the FAQs. Please point us to a page relating to this. I have been looking for like twenty minutes now.

Check out the hundreds of real working fusor and demo fusor images in image du jour and follow the high voltage wire on top of the fusor. How do you get the 20,000 volts of electricity into a car's metal block and cylinder to ignite the gas?

Pretty much monkey see- monkey do.

Ah! You use a High Voltage vacuum feedthrough. Here's a source I found: https://huntvac.com/product/high-power-feedthroughs/

Excellent.

There are many types of feedthroughs, the ones we use for actually fusing fusors tend to be quite large due to the long arcing distance of high voltage.

You can either buy them or make your own.
