Internal Grid

Post by William Kelly »

Hello! I have recently bought a titanium spherical vacuum chamber. I first would like to know what the optimal material for an internal grid is. Also, I was wondering if anyone was willing to make/sell me one with or without an MDC feedthrough. Thanks as always!

P.S. If this is in the wrong section(I wasn't sure) feel free to let me know/move this post. Thanks!

EDIT: Oops, sorry I just saw Mr. Hull's FAQ. It seems the most optimal material would be tungsten. I still am interested in a purchase/construction tips. Thanks!

William,

You may have seen posts referring to the Jon Rosenstiel grid. It seems to be a popular method that works well. Here is the original post by Jon back in 2005.
