Humm ..

Warning: The following post contains procedures that should not be attempted with out a thorough and COMPLETE understanding of the radiation hazard involved.
High vacuum is required to make this method work.
Remote operation procedure HAVE to be in place from the beginning.
Appropriated warning signs with a flashing warning light are necessary.
High voltage safety will be stringent due to the extra high potentials involved.
The radiation is short range but very intense close to the linac and the experintal area
Proper safety interlocks with keys are a must.
The local radiation will be on the order of 100 Rads or above.
It exceeds the lifetime permissible dose many fold.

I have to wait on the large scale stuff till dry weather.
I put aside the high power linac.
But a demo LCF is on the road.
It dawned on me …if I rearranged my demo system a little and added the diffusion pump voila demo linac collider.
The maximum working voltage for work in the shop has to be at 60 KV for safety sake.
No worse than metal grid fusor systems in general.
The lead cover was already built for my all metal fusor I’ve doing for some time now..
Simply moved the sphere and put the steel baseplate from the previous demo system.
(No ... I am still doing it .)
Glued it up from scrap around the shop. (high Vac Epoxy)
It was pretty much like a craft project.
Linacs go together pretty fast.

Insulators were cut an mounted in the baseplate.
As soon as I finish my cascade multiplier I will fire it up.
Cold ion guns in the Hull - Raney style for the first unit.
At 60kv I can use standard hv wire of that rating.
I need to rebuild my electrolysis unit tho….a whoops in the shop busted it .

Fusion is fun!
