Conflat camera adapting

Post by Andrew Robinson »

Good morning all

I'd like to hear from anyone with past experience imaging through view ports concerning adaption. I'm still working out possible engineering solutions to adapt a camera to the view port and have not settled on a design I like just yet. Seems there are not too many commercial solutions out there for a standard 2.75 viewport. (at least none that I have found yet). Can someone either point me to a commercial solution they have used in the past, or give me some examples of your solution to help spark my creativity. Also, no disrespect, but please withhold responses such as, "Just stack up a pile of wood and point a web cam inside." etc. I'm only looking for serious, professional suggestions. The forums seem to be a little empty regarding this topic.

Thanks all for the help

Just recently, I posted a complete set of data on adding a single board camera to a view port with photos! You must not have seen it.
I'll look, but I may not locate it.

What objective are you trying to accomplish that a pile of wood blocks could not?

Yes I did miss that. That sounds like a great solution. I'll do some searching for it as well. Thanks

Professionalism. A pile of blocks is not a permanent or acceptable engineering solution. It's the complete opposite and in my opinion, a lazy solution.

Possibly this post. Doesn't seem detailed enough for one of your usual posts to be the one you're referencing. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4214&hilit=single+ ... a&start=10

UPDATE

I think I found it. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3210&p=20142&hilit= ... era#p20142

Not a bad solution. One to definitely consider. Thanks

I just created a new FAQ in this fourm. Hope it helps.

I just reposted an edited version with 5 images including a PC board camera image.
