At Last: Philo in the TV Hall of Fame

I think I have neglected to mention this here (just posted it to Farnovision.com and the front page of Fusor.net).

On March 11, Philo T. Farnsworth will be inducted into the Television Academy's "Hall of Fame" for "... inventing all-electronic television transmission..."

Given my personal history of snarky skepticism whenever the TV establishment tries to toss a bouquet Farnsworth's way, I'm naturally wondering how they will manage to twist that statement into something less monumental than it really was at the time, but I'm determined not to spoil the occasion by insisting they get all the details right.

Despite that fact that Aaron Sorkin will be presenting the citation to the Farnsworth family:

Still, it will be interesting to see if they manage this time to stop equivocating and admit that, yeah, the guy invented the damn thing...

What's left of the Farnsowrth family to present the award to? One of the sons, I guess. Are there grandchildren?

You know they'll get it wrong, have no fear. The moment of fame will be as with all such hurrahs, short lived and long overdue.

Fusion is the energy of the future....and it always will be
The more complex the idea put forward by the poor amateur, the more likely it will never see embodiment
