Lead Shielding Plates delivered to HEAS

Post by Frank Sanns » Sun Sep 30, 2018 1:02 am

I have approximately half inch lead shielding. Sizes range from 10x12 to up to 15 inches. Each are around 34 pounds each. I also have some with round openings for a scintillator probe to fit through. They are 90 cents a pound. These are heavy so I will only bring them to the HEAS if somebody is interested. I can bring around 300 to 400 lbs in my car. Let me know if you are interested because I will only bring them if I have a buyer.

While 1/2 inch thick is a bit over kill, 1/8th to 1/4 inch would be ideal for a 40kv fusor. However, I will surely take one for the shadow cone box I am planning.
