I have been fairly aggressive pushing the demo fusor to high voltages OR high current levels. I have noticed that there is a blue discoloration on the inside of the chamber, like it has been heated to a high temp (it hasn't). The aluminum centering ring and the alumina insulator are stained dark brown. The grid looks like it has been sand blasted.
Am I stripping metal off the inner grid and depositing it on the chamber wall or is this crud a residual from grid construction?
