1- tungsten strip should theoretically be able to handle 16 times the power of ss. and
2- i finished a prototype iec using the cathode and a special rf plasma power supply we developed for a flat panel display we invented previously, i am pushing 1.8 amps @ 20,000 v through the iec without over heating the grid.
yes not 18 mils but 1800 miliamps!
i think you guys are barking up the wrong tree with straight dc supplies.
i am ordering a bf3 detector. i will let you know what our neutron count is once set up.
