It is very important to get the DV-6 gauge!!!! Do not get a gauge based on the 531!!! the DV-6 is expanded at the low end of the scale 0-30 microns. The 531 is cruched up there. I personally make all of my own TC gauges and sell all my surplus ones purchased at hamfests. I far prefer the 1518 TC gauge tube. It is expanded at the low end like the DV-6 but is cheaper and will work off of a 1.5 volt "d" cell for portable apps. SWEET! Steve's "on-line" Bell Jar has a great article on making your own TC gauges. Once I made mine I never bought another TC gauge new.
