Re[7]: High voltage resistors (insulating oil)

Where are you located... In the northern Los Angeles, CA area (i.e. the San Fernando Valley), I use L.T. "Lee" Sawyer, which is a Shell "jobber".

I just look in the yellow pages under Oils-Lubricating, and you'll find a bunch of listings for "jobbers". A lot of listings under Oils-Cutting, as well. You might even find Oils-Insulating or Oils-Electrical (the classifications are listed, but nobody lists themselves under this in my yellow pages).

Then, it's "hit the phones" time... to find someone who has it in 5 gallon pails (unless you want a whole drum, which is generally easier to come by).

There might even be lists available on the internet, linked from the manufacturer's sites...(I can dream, can't I?)
