Caburn-MDC catalog on page 279,shows a good weldable feedthrogh rated 20 Kv 1A (stainless steel)It costs something like 50$... reference is PBHV20-1S. With nickel conductor it handles 15 Amperes (PBHV20-15N), 25 the one with copper conductor (PBHV20-25C). They are all the same price. Just beacuse you mentioned MDC... :)
