I plan to silver solder three lugs to the inside of the chamber, ant use these to support three wire "legs" soldered to the outer grid. The legs would have "feet" consisting of a loop in the wire, held to the lugs by screws.
The question is: should the legs legs be insulated? Or do uninsulated inner grid supports interfere with ion focusing in any way?
