With all the buzz about garage based, or desk top nuclear fusion, it seems to me that it's only a matter of time before the Feds realize that you don't need a billion dollars or a fission event to do D-D fusion and make high energy neutrons. Then the next logical step is to restrict the sale of deuterium.
Maybe I am just paranoid, but what are the legal issues surrounding garage fusion? Couldn't this thing be considered a public danger? Has anyone ever got in trouble by turning one on to do fusion?
I have been getting a lot of what could be considered strange packages in the mail, from Duniway, Kirt J. Lesker, Fare Radio Sales etc. Sometimes I think that it is only a matter of time before I see that slate grey Ford Crown Victoria parked in front of my house.
