Re: INTRANETS QUANDARY - JUNE 5

Again, I totally agree with the perfesser on this matter and echo his sentiments.

This group is solid with a minimum of 30 regular active contributors. I am also aware of at least 30-40 more who, while quiet, would pony up the bucks to continue receiving cross talk provided here.

Here is an idea.

You would pay quarterly directly to the administrator. (monthly payments would be a hassle and too much effort) The price would be based on the actual cost at the time of sign-on.

Since even in worst case you are looking at $12.00/quarter, there would be no refunds for quiting early. (you will have access based on what you have already paid.).

If the thing grew to where a buck a month was all that was needed, your higher original quartely payment would roll forward until your account was dry (more months than you paid for originally) and you would be asked to add to the kitty based on current rates as your account hit bottom.

Likewise, if the group folded or intranets goes belly up, refunds would be issued based on what would be in the administrators care at that time or proceeds from returned funds by Intranets. Nobody would get horribly stung due to the low quarterly fees.

I am personally prepared to pony up $50.00 to sit in the kitty for my ongoing participation.

Each month, based on the actual payout to intranets by the administrator, a figure will be posted as the levy against your account on hand. (all accounts would be drained equally by this posted figure) I am sure, at first, it will be $3.00/month as many will jump ship. If the membership exceeds 150 then it will be reduced to pennies/month.

Should your account drift to zero or get near empty, the administrator will ask for a minimum payment and you better cough up something or you will be summarily dropped. Constant dropping then rejoining, with continued failing to pay as needed would be grounds for barring from the forum as being more of a nusance than an asset.

The above seems fair, open and honest to me, should we decide to stay firm here and continue this nice service un-interrupted.
