I am quite willing to pay, but I would prefer something equivalent to an annual magazine subscription.
And if we are going to have to pay, how much would it cost to our own web site or domain?. The money could well be better spent on an option that we have more control of.
Is there anyone out there in the web hosting or ISP business who would be willing to take on a side line?.
Another option, but one that would take much more organisation, would be to setup some form registered charity or not-for-profit organisation (I'm not sure about US laws).
