Thank you for your complements and confidence Mr. Hull. Actually the work of a WPI student sparked my interest in IEC about two years ago. And now that my plasma turbulence research (torsatron - http://torsatron.tripod.com) has calmed down, I intend to construct a virtual grid IEC device based on the knowledge I acquired in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) and turbulence reduction.

P.S. My torsatron used helium (or Nitrogen) as the working gas, since their spectral lines have quantified relationships between density and intensity.
