Re[2]: Update June 12 re: Possible new site
Index Previous in Thread Next in Thread

I just keep a tally sheet at my desk.

As I check the board frequently, I just look at the last tally in each forum and if the number is the same then I forget that forum. If the number is up, let's say by 2, then I just go to the forum and click on "view by date" and read only the most recent two messages. This keeps me current and up todate on what has just happened. After reading and or commenting, I hit the discussions key, see the new talley for the forum and mark it down on my sheet for next time. Then I move on to the next forum to see if it has incremented.

I actually love this format ( a lot less cluttered and much easier to index and locate stuff than the old board)

The only nice addition might be all of a single thread and answers on the screen at once.

I like the count per forum and the segregated forums as well. I notice a few out of place messages every now and then which really are, in effect, lost to all forever. Someone replying on the general topic forum on reply # 5 regarding general hazards of fusors about a neat radiation monitoring trick will be lost forever. It should have been a new thread in the radiation forum.

I am looking forward to our new home.
