Co-axial device
Index Previous in Thread Next in Thread

One of Bob Hirsch's variants of his fusor (In patent application) is a device with a cylindrical grid assembly instead of a sphere, this allows a much bigger (longer) plasma in the fusor but sidesteps the issue of needing a higher vacuum that a bigger fusor (spherical) would need for the ions to travel the extra distance intact. I borrowed the coaxial name off Jim Lux from a recent post he made as i think it's much more sexier than "cylindrical fusor".
