I inquired of intranets.com re: the feasibility of an e-mail link that would give unregistered visitors a way to request access. This was their response:
"Thank you for contacting Technical Support at Intranets.Com! This is not currently available however, our next release is based around community access, providing features such as you have described. "
No word on when the "next release" will be available.
In the meantime, I suggest we default to "fusor.net" as the primary URL for this group. In the next 24 hours, I will make a few changes so that the index.html at that URL will act as a "front porch" to this intranet site. I will display very clearly in the portal page what a new visitor needs to do to get in.
I'll get started on that right away. Meantime, I suggest we proliferate as many links to
https://fusor.net
as possible.
