eGroups.txt....isn't such a bad idea after all...??
Ben, after reading your msg I took another look at eGroups

and now I can't recall why I didn't think it was suitable for our purposes here. The e-mail option alone is very appealing. I see now it also has all the other features that appealed to me about this site - separate areas for links, docs, threaded discussions, etc.
I've attached a msg I received recently from eGroups about their pending acquisition by Yahoo. There are some other interesting features they will be adding.
Maybe the next poll will be "let's move the whole thing" to a), b), or c). Let me investigate a couple of other possibilities first.
