Proper forum posting
Index Previous in Thread Next in Thread

I have noticed that in some of our deeper discussions on this new site that when there are 10-deep responses, the discussions can wind up morphing from theory to history or vice-versa.

If you find yourself wanting to reply to a theory post as the 5th respondent and your comment speaks specifically to the history of fusion or to a vacuum issue, start a new thread in the proper forum.

One of the great beauties of this site over the old one is the ability to place important subject matter in the proper bin and not have valuable, topic specific, data spread all over hell's half acre. This will help newbies and ourselves when trying to retrieve that one special post "we just know we remember" on radiation measurement.

It won't help a bit to hit the radiation measurement forum if the post you are looking for was the sixth reply to a question on fusion cross sections in the theory forum.

It is important to check every forum, as most of you surely do. Again, using the blue discussions button off to the left of this message. Not all forums are listed on the main page, as I have mentioned in the past.
