That is one of my few gripes about this new board, but it is more than offset by the forum specific info which catagorizes stuff.
It appears that with all changes, there is always the proverbial good news and bad news.
I keep a pencil jotted, numerical list of the # of posts for each forum which I update before exiting. That way I can see just how many, if any, new posts there are in a forum since the last visit. The computer revolution still demands pencil, paper and an eraser.
I don't fully understand the comings and goings of the numbers in the new column and just ignore them.
