We should never dismiss ideas out of hand. A crafty hoaxer may learn to "talk the talk". Which these folks can do. Therefore this makes us receptive to further guarded watching of their effort.
Likewise, some lucky joker make get a working model of something truly novel and be a high school drop out and almost un-communicative.
We should look at all aspects of what is offered in the area of new or alternate energy and then weigh and consider. The watchword is be a critical observer before allowing yourself to become skeptical. Bad stuff will show itself in a number of ways.
