In answer to the neutrons, we have no idea. This was not a major recorded run. There were no neutron counters in operation. The fusor would have been only 6-8" in diameter. I have stated many, many times that for major fusor efforts the largest neutron producing fusion chamber ever built was 8"!! End of statement!!!

I have also noted that for fusor runs on no gunned fusors running in the 10 micron regime 8" might be a maximum size with 6" or even 5" being ideal. (due to mean free path considerations.)

Yes, the Farnsworth/ITT team built a 10" and some rather largish cylindrical units, but they were never serious fusor efforts. They were simply test beds for concept investigation. To the best of my knowledge not a single neutron was produced in this large units.

It is important to realize that the fogging of the badges might also have been due to blasts of X-rays. Still, however, why did the thing continue on operating for a few seconds after the HV was cut?? More questions than answers.
