Historical document offer
Index Previous in Thread Next in Thread

I have come to obtain a rather fantastic document regarding the Farnsworth fusor effort. It is a report to summarize all of the scientific effort involved with IEC fusion up to
mid 1967. Though it is detailing only that work done in the time frame of Bob Hirsch's arrival since 1964, it is well done and presented professionally. Most of the document is appendices with scientific reports done by physicists and colleges who were sub-contractors of ITT (something I did not know!). It starts off with a brief history of the Farnsworth team's effort and lists all the members, titles, etc and all the sub contractors.

The document is about 160 pages long including Z folds, covers, etc., and is GBC bound.

I will have no more than 3 spare copies. $35.00 should cover the costs plus shipping in the U.S. only.

Note that this is stricitly a scientific/engineering document with a lot of math related to potential well formation. It is not light reading. It does have Robert Hirsch's master report included in the front and his article submitted for publication.

It will not tell how to make an amateur fusor!

I suggest it is only of value to true theory bugs or historical types, eager to get a look at what the project thought of itself and look into what others contracted to study the Farnsworth IECF concept reported following modeling and computer crunching of the potential well issue.

Contact me via the first page of my website (e-mail) if interested in this one of a kind document.
