I'm a 54 year old electronics systems engineer. I have been an amateur scientist for about 47 years. I am more of a practical experimenter and leave a lot of the theorizing to others and look at myself as one who weighs, considers, and then acts. I am somewhat of an iconclast and am guarded in my acceptance of what I sometimes view as dogmatic science.

I was part of the computer revolution, but refuse to be a slave to the "new" idiot box.

I tend to support the doers by giving insights and tips on the hardware and technological aspects of the fusor project. I was the first amateur fusor builder to get neutrons from a fusor, as far as I know. There are two more of us amateur fusioneers out there who have done fusion via the IEC process. I religiously believe in the "hands on imperative".

I was among the first to get on board the perfesser's original BBS (still up but unused). I have produced two, 2 hour videos of my efforts designed to assist others in the construction phase of fusor building.

I have had two articles published on the fusor effort with instructions on how to get started in The Electric Spacecraft Journal and in the Bell Jar. I am up to Fusor IV in my efforts to acquire knowledge and skills over the vast range of associated technologies brought to bare in real fusor construction and operation.

My "priority one" in this discussion and effort is personal enjoyment, the quest for knowledge, Gaining an understanding of the fusion process and helping others of like mind. Please note that at no point did I mention saving the world by giving it limitless energy. Such a goal is a bit too philanthropic and grandiose for my tastes.
