Hello to all. I am an american engineer living and working abroad in France for the last three years. I'm oringinally from South Louisiana. I'm presently the technical director of the international branch of an american company building power generation products. I have research experience from my university days in semiconductor fabrication. I am an engineer by trade but have always been a scientist at heart.

I stumbled across the fusor site(s) via some links from Tesla coil pages. I have always been fascinated by high voltage and plasma discharge theory as well as particle accelaration. I have long contemplated returning to continue my education, probably a PhD in physics. But, I hadn't identified just what I wanted to study nor the work I wanted to do after until I found the site on Farnsworth's research. I haven't read all his work yet but I would have been heaven working along side of Farnsworth.

After corresponding with Bert Pool and Richard Hull, I think that perhaps I should look into a curriculum of plasma physics at various universities. This seems like a path that could lead me to research of similar apparatus like what Farnsworth did. If any of you have any ideas of a recommended career path and/or a recommended university having a good physics program...maybe even a professor who is interested in Farnsworth's work, I'd appretiate a tip!

Well, thanks for welcoming me and I'll be "seeing" you all around.

Sincerely,

Toby Miller
