Some may know me as the editor of an amateur vacuum newsletter "the Bell Jar." I've known Richard Hull for many years and have been following the fusor work that is going on in the amateur community. In my view, the work on fusors is one of the most interesting recent areas in amateur science.
My amateur science interests focus on plasma devices, especially coaxial plasma guns and pseudospark-based electron and ion accelerators. I've also begun dabbling in plasma chemistry.
Professionally I work for MKS Instruments where I have responsibility for repair and field support, technical training and calibration products.
Other amateur interests include boat building, opera and varmint hunting.
